Hours Management

Manage regular hours, special hours, and holiday schedules across all locations.

Hours Management helps teams keep regular hours, holiday hours, and temporary closures accurate inside their google business listing management software workflow.

Overview

Use Hours Management when you need to correct hours on one location, push the same schedule update across multiple listings, or plan future-dated changes before a holiday or event.

This page focuses on the operational side of hours updates: when to use direct editing, when to switch to bulk edits, and when scheduled changes are the safer path.

Before you start

Before you update hours, make sure:

  • the listings you want to manage are already connected in Localith
  • you know whether the change is immediate or should go live later
  • the schedule you are about to apply has already been approved internally

If you need to update names, categories, or other business details instead of hours, use Edit Business Info.

Choose the right hours workflow

Localith supports three practical hours-management scenarios:

  • Single-location edit for one profile that needs a quick fix
  • Bulk edit for immediate changes across multiple listings
  • Scheduled edit for holiday hours, seasonal changes, or temporary closures that should go live later

The right choice depends mostly on timing and scope.

Edit hours on one listing

Use this path when only one location needs a correction.

  1. Open the Listings area and open the location you want to update.
  2. Go to the business details view and find the hours field.
  3. Update the opening and closing times you need to change.
  4. Save the update and confirm the schedule is correct.

Bulk edit hours for immediate changes

Use Bulk Edit when the same hours change needs to be applied right away across several listings.

  1. Open the Bulk Edit workflow.
  2. Select the listings you want to update.
  3. Choose Business Hours from the editable field list.
  4. Select the days you want to change and set the new opening and closing times.
  5. Review the update and submit it.

This is a strong fit for same-day operational changes, regional updates, or network-wide schedule adjustments.

Schedule hours in advance

Use scheduled edits when the hours should change on a future date instead of immediately.

  1. Open Scheduled Edits.
  2. Start a new scheduled update and choose the affected listings.
  3. Select Business Hours as the field you want to change.
  4. Enter the updated schedule.
  5. Choose the future date or time when the change should go live.
  6. Save the schedule and confirm the timing.

This is the best path for holiday hours, temporary closures, and planned schedule changes that should go live automatically.

Track and review hours changes

If your team needs more oversight, pair hours changes with Change Tracking. That helps you review accepted, declined, or pending edits over time instead of treating hours management as a one-time action.

Tips and best practices

  • Use direct edits for one-location fixes and bulk edits for immediate multi-location updates.
  • Use scheduled edits for holiday or future-dated changes instead of relying on someone to remember the update later.
  • Review recurring hours changes by region, brand, or location group so you can standardize the process.
  • When hours are a high-risk field for your brand, combine this workflow with Profile Locking.

Limits or edge cases

  • The quality of the update still depends on the schedule you apply. Double-check dates and times before you submit.
  • Future-dated changes should be reviewed early, especially around holidays or special operating periods.
  • If multiple teams can change hours, define ownership clearly so schedules do not drift over time.

Common questions

Should I use direct edit or bulk edit for hours?

Use direct edit when only one listing needs a correction. Use bulk edit when the same change needs to be applied across several locations right away.

What is the safest option for holiday hours?

Scheduled edits are usually the safest option because they let the change go live automatically on the intended date.

Can I review hours-related changes later?

Yes. Use Change Tracking when your team needs a better history of submitted and reviewed listing changes.
